Described as revised and expanded in the entry in Amazon.co.uk as of April 2003 as well as in library database entries. The page count and the number of questions remains the same as of the original edition so it might be just a slightly revised/corrected edition of the original despite the cited claim. This is substantiated by the fact that the preface remains unchanged from the 1996 edition.

    ISBN 0-00-628111-7
There are quotations from the book jacket in the record of the MARCQAT (Marquette Library database, record no. 41466351) which indicates that Tolkien is treated in the book: "The twentieth century has been marked both by belief and unbelief. While church attendance has declined, the lives of many of the most salient figures of our times have been influenced and inspired by Christianity." "Literary Converts takes us on a journey into the deepest beliefs of some of the greatest writers in the English language: Oscar Wilde, Evelyn Waugh, C. S. Lewis, Malcolm Muggeridge, Graham Greene, Edith Sitwell, Siegfried Sassoon, Hilaire Belloc, G. K. Chesterton, Dorothy Sayers, T. S. Eliot and J. R. R. Tolkien. The role of George Bernard Shaw and H. G. Wells in intensifying the religious debate despite not being converts themselves is also considered." The same record also gives a complete listing of the chapter titles. This listing however gives no indication at all that Tolkien is treated in the book. As I have not seen it myself I cannot judge whether or not Tolkien is treated to the extent to warrant inclusion in the present list.

    ISBN 1-84046-400-3 (pbk): $13.95
Information varies in databases: Amazon.co.uk gives name of publisher as Wizard Books (£5.99), Barnes&Noble gives publisher as Icon Books, Ltd. UK ($13.95). Both claims the book to be published in November 2002. Interestingly the cover is not the same in the two databases. Amazon.com says that the book will be published in December 2002 by the publisher above (no cover given).
Both Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble also list a currently unavailable title, Tolkien Para Principiantes by Repun and according to Barnes&Noble published by Longseller in September 2001 (no publisher in Amazon.com) with ISBN 987-906-593-X. Amazon.com lists a price of $8.35 for this title, which possibly might be a Spanish original of The Master of the Rings.

    ISBN 2-266-12484-6: 5.00€
In earlier versions of this bibliography the author of this book has been given as Dominique Bouquet. This must be incorrect as the record in the Alapage database as of November 26, 2002 is accompanied by a picture of the back cover of the book which clearly states that the author is Catherine Bouttier-Couqueberg. The record in the Amazon.fr database still give the author's name as Dominique Bouquet. This may be a mix-up of some sort as both writers exist. It seems unlikely that it should be a case of two different books as the title, ISBN and publisher is identical in the two records.
